Tom Ford Goodies

Today I got sucked in by the hype.

Yep. I've never even glanced at the Tom Ford counter. I've, of course, read so many glowing reviews online and been curious as to what all the fuss is about but the extortionate price tag put me right off! But today, I thought "Where's the harm in just having a look...?" Well, my credit card is now in a lot of pain.

I ended up buying two little products. One nail polish and one lipstick and they are both divine.

The nail polish is in the colour Plum Noir, and it's a beautiful, rather unusual plummy red-ish pink.

It's a lovely consistency and goes on like a dream. It also dries super quickly which is always a bonus! I think the first photo of the polish shows the truest colour, the others make it look a little redder than it is in real life. Apologies for the dodgy lighting!

The second thing I bought was the lipstick in Black Orchid. This is an amazing colour, which when smudged on thinly creates a sheer wash of plummy colour which can then be built up to the darkest purple. SO versatile and very smooth. Almost sheer on the first swipe! The packaging is also stunning.

Can't wait to wear these colours together. I think they're the perfect shade for fall/autumn/winter.

Haven't quite decided whether Tom Ford is worth cash, but it's always fun to experiment!
